Description:

The Clinical Respiratory Liaison (CRL) provides in-hospital and in-home respiratory services to our patients. The CRL collaborates with the patients, family members and PromptCare’s Intake and Sales teams to facilitate patient discharge and coordination of care in the home. Teaching the patients and family members about their therapy and supplies and performing effective respiratory services to patients to facilitate discharge to the home are also critical elements of the job.

Job Location: Concord, NC

SUMMARY OF KEY JOB FUNCTION:

This is a field-based, sales support, hands-on clinical respiratory liaison position that requires a candidate with the drive and skill to be a respiratory care practitioner, patient advocate and positive representative of PromptCare. The successful candidate must be proficient in all phases of home respiratory services.

Requirements:
  • Must be a licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in North Carolina - license in good standing
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing
  • Current CPR Certification
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a home care respiratory care practitioner
  • Must be knowledgeable on invasive and non-invasive ventilation
  • Pediatric respiratory background preferred
  • Specific training in mechanical home ventilation is highly desirable
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills are required. Must be self-motivated
  • Excellent verbal presentation skills to teach the patients about their therapy are required
  • Organized with respect to meeting deadlines and getting the work done
  • Strong interpersonal skills to deal with patients and their families in a professional, compassionate manner are required
  • Must have adequate PC skills to use e-mail and update nursing notes and other documentation electronically in a timely manner
  • Strong work ethic and desire to serve our patients
  • Active member in a professional society

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Evaluates patient experiences for opportunities to improve customer satisfaction
  • Provides patients and family members with timely and accurate information, and takes appropriate corrective actions regarding our services to ensure complete satisfaction
  • Ability to initiate and develop good working relationships with patients and family members is essential
  • Plans daily events so as to be as efficient as possible with time management (e.g., minimizes travel time by planning routes ahead of time)
  • Ability to properly triage problems in the field in accordance with company standards and other verbal and written training policies
  • Follow proper procedures for accurate and timely documentation of patient concerns, and most importantly, takes appropriate corrective actions
  • Maintains strong knowledge of PromptCare’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensures that they are applied consistently
  • Maintains compliance to all applicable laws, regulations and SOPs at all times
  • Conducts activities with a mindset of delivering “white glove” service to the patients and family members
  • Submits expense reports for travel at least once monthly and in a timely manner
  • Projects a positive attitude at all times with patients and family members, and gets involved in PromptCare’s employee activities

  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Able to work longer than normal hours with little or no notice, as needed
  • Attend staff meetings, teleconferences and patient care conferences as needed
  • Ability to lift a minimum weight of 35 pounds, and able to perform repetitive standing, sitting, stooping, walking, stretching, reaching, typing and use full range of body motions
  • Understand and follow PromptCare’s employee policies and procedures
